Two school districts in McLennan County are adamantly working towards stopping vaping use on campus. Robinson ISD and Lorena ISD are installing sensors in school bathrooms that can sense vaping. At Robinson ISD, they have had these sensors installed for about a month, and the sensors have already gone off numerous times. They have installed Halo Smart Sensors. These sensors can pick up whether the student is vaping nicotine or another substance like THC.
